I like Gemini just fine but i want to uninstall it and try Emerald. Is there a different way to do this, because i can't find it the normal way. I'm concerned about space on my HD.

Hain had his sleeves rolled up. He had a cup of coffee in his hand and a smoke between his lips. Clouds of indoor pollution languished in the air, penetrated by the vidscreen's ever-present glow. He rubbed his stubbled chin, and looked at the data again as it scrolled across the gigantic surface. What a wild ride the past few weeks had been.
It was a series of lucky turnovers. With BCSS now seemingly out of the picture, the shortcomings of the merger proposal didn't seem so bitter on the tongue…

Dear Mr Heliosense,
Our legal team and ourselves have reviewed your contract proposal. I'm afraid it doesn't match the terms we've been discussing together. We unfortunately have no other choice but to decline your offer.
Best regards,
C. Writer & B. Kimono.

Chess players try to think ahead, anticipating the reaction to their action. Of course, serious chess players anticipate way further than a single move ahead. Yet it was time to set things in motion and anticipate Gemini's first and most predictable reaction.
-- BCSS Classified Memo: * ALERT NOTICE * --
Recent intelligence has shown BCSS might be the target of a direct offensive action by an unidentified third party, possibly terrorists.

The financial data stream on the screen, like the rain pouring in the East sector. Endless. Depressing.

I give a glance to the screens. Minor adjustments... the trends remain identical. Most of the indicators on the dashboard are flashing green. Gemini isn't moving. A few more circumvoluted fund transfers, and…

Core took a look around. She'd been walking in the dark alleys for a while, far from the busy traffic roads of InSilico. She was positive she wasn't being followed. She had taken all the usual precautions.
Facing the entrance of the old shipping warehouse, she couldn't help wondering how much longer it would remain private. The cover was good. The place was belonging to an export company from the surface, which in turn was belonging to a private security company BCSS held a majority of the shar…

- "How did you recognize me ?". I ordered a jug of water to keep the waiter busy. The old man added a bottle of Yu for himself.
- "I designed your shell. How wouldn't I recognize you ? I built your endocrine system and part of the whole design. You don't believe me ?" he asked, waving his chopsticks. "How thirsty are you ? How much water have you drunk today ?"
- "Why ?" I scowled. My irritation was growing already, and yes I was thirsty.
- "Why ? Because it was a design flaw that never got f…

Bangalore...
The city had become the technology capital before the coming of the giant cities in the sky and the orbital factories. It was now just another abandoned technogical center where unemployment and violence were rampant. Glory and fall of a technological empire. Yet it was an impressive sight when the suborbital jet banked and started its approach over the endless sea of light.

L5 was a loss of time. Her ex-husband’s face didn’t ring a bell… My ex-husband. Neither did his voice. I came so close from telling him, just to see his reaction, to get a proof that I existed. Something personal, something real. But I saw the framed picture. Two children, a wife. He has rebuilt his life. I am condemned to be an anonymous spectator. A ghost.
His memories of Sarah are not too merry either. Career-oriented, elitist, perfectionist, hard headed. They married, but she never had time…

There is so much I can do in Insilico. I explored all the leads... I reviewed all the fragments of memories the drugs unlocked in me. Memories ? Or figments... That's what I need to find out. I have this picture I found in the news.
Frigate Captain Sarah Mikhaïlovna Sakharov, 41 year old when she was lost in space on December 10th 2474. I would be 44 today. Is that really me? I can't recognize myself in this short blonde officer. Curly hair. Brilliant record. The picture shows her... me... in 2…

As you know, i decided to keep the Gemini viewer for myself and work on Greenlife Emerald instead. We just released Version 439 and i must say it's the fastest and most usable viewer i've ever seen. Most of my Gemini patches are in there aswell as the dark grey UI skin and a TON of new features, it's also using only 15% cpu here now. I
highly recommend trying it, you can download it here:…

"Jesus f**king Christ." exclaimed Hain, as he set foot off the deck of the hovercar, and into an oily puddle of stagnant water. Black grime and engine grease splashed on his Italian leather shoes - goods for which he had paid a premium price for. Insilico sure wasn't like colonial life in orbit. An imperfect place in an imperfect time.
The black hovercar sped off with a bassy drone as its anti-grav lifts slipped it back into the river of traffic from which it had previously beached itself. Hain…

Dear community members,
The GMs are planning to kick off a (IC) corporate news network in INSILICO. It will inform the roleplayers about recent and future important events, official announcements and job offers (+ occasionally useless crap for fun). To do so, we need YOUR help!
First of all, let me illustrate the concept:
Gemini Cybernetics' public relations and press department is responsible for public news, media etc (as stated in the setting). It will publish information in two ways. Firs…

I haven't touched many prims in the last 3 weeks and had my head deep into the SL Viewer C++ source code, after programming the bots i thought it's time to play around with the viewer source some. Out came a very fast, useful and stable viewer. It renders quickly and is set up for high end environments like INSILICO, so if you experience any lag here you might want to give it a try.
